Sad Pup Surrendered To Kill Shelter in St. Patrick’s Day T-Shirt, Cries Before He Sleeps
I could remember as a small child how happy I was to be treated to a Shamrock shake every Saint Patricks day, thanks to a loving mother who knew I had quite the sweet tooth as a youngster. She adorned me in my favorite green clothes as we would walk into a local McDonalds, and it was quite the experience.
For one dog, Saint Patrick’s day will always be the day he will remember as his surrender date to the Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, California. The dog, whose name is Sonny Smiles, is suffering the ultimate betrayal, he can hardly fathom.
His mother didn’t want him anymore, and so she adorned him in a Saint Patrick’s day inspired green t-shirt, gathered all his toys, and a blanket, and loaded him into the car before dumping him at Carson. Now Sonny, who is completely bewildered and confused by it all, is just too sad to care about life anymore. Sonny cries himself to sleep every night awaiting a very uncertain future in a shelter where hope is about as hard to find as a well in a dessert.
