Depressed Puppy Living in Kill Shelter, Pondering a Very Bleak Future

When I was born into this world, I had the love, and support of a caring mother who nurtured me and showed the kind of love that has since never been duplicated in my life. For one dog living in the high kill Miami-Dade Animal Services (MDAS), in Maimi, Florida, life was not so fair to him.

Roy, a one-year-old American bulldog mix was dealt the worst hand. He was found roaming the streets of Miami as a stray, before an animal control officer tracked him down, and brought him into the MDAS. The sad, and depressed looking pup, who was initially upbeat that he finally had the semblance of structure in his life, now calls a cold concrete slab as the only thing to offer him the solace from the pain. Sad indeed.

SpeakUp, a kill shelter is no place for a dog like Roy, to spend the days of his life. Let’s use our voice, and the power of this community to find him the forever family he rightfully deserves. If you or someone you know is interested in giving this precious pup the home he deserves, please contact the Miami-Dade Animal Services at (305) 884-1101 and reference the shelter ID #A1852834.

Additionally, please share this story on Facebook or Twitter, so we are closer to finding Roy a family.
