5 Month Old Pit Bull Surrendered to High Kill Shelter, Trying Her Best To Keep a Courageous Face

The Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, California, is not a place where you would want to pin your hopes and dreams to say and write the least. Dogs are given just a few weeks, and sometimes even just days to find a forever family before the unthinkable happens: euthanasia.

For one 5-month old pup unnamed pup living in Carson, she is getting the worst start to what is supposed to be a joyous, carefree life. Her owner didn’t want her anymore, and so one day she gathered all of her things and brought her to a kill shelter knowing full well the ramifications such a decision would bring.

The pup, who is as terrified, and confused by her new life, can often be seen putting her head down, tucking herself into a corner. It’s the only solace from the chaos and noise that is life inside the Carson Shelter, which is no place for a puppy, let alone any dog to be.

A Petharbor listing for this pup reads,

“I am described as a female, tan and white Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter thinks I am about 5 months old.”

SpeakUp, if you or someone you know is interested in giving this precious pup the forever family she rightfully deserves, please contact the Los Angeles County Animal Control – Carson at (310) 523-9566 and reference the shelter ID #A5035993.
