12 Year Old Senior Dumped At High Kill Shelter With Her Favorite Bed, Trying Her Best To Keep a Brave Face

The Carson Animal Shelter is not one of those places you pin your hopes and dreams on to say and write the least. The dogs and cats locked away in kennels at Carson are given just a few weeks, and sometimes even just months to find forever families, until the unthinkable happens: euthanasia.

For one unnamed 12-year-old pup who resides at the Carson Animal Shelter, she could tell you all about the pain, and rejection she feels in this moment, knowing that her future is quite literally at stake. Her owner didn’t want her anymore and so after 12 years of loyalty and devotion, he unceremoniously dumped her off at the Carson shelter to fend all alone for herself. Sad Indeed.

A Petharbor listing for this pup reads,

“I am described as a female, brown and tan Dachshund. The shelter thinks I am about 12 years old.”

This sad pup with no name is trying her hardest to keep a brave face as shelter patrons routinely pass her up for younger dogs, according to my source. Thankfully, we can change that today.

SpeakUp, if you or someone you know is interested in giving this precious pup the forever family she rightfully deserves, please contact the Los Angeles County Animal Control – Carson at (310) 523-9566 and reference the shelter ID #A5035105.

Additionally, please share this story on Facebook or Twitter so we are closer to finding this pup a home. We have done it many times before and can certainly do it again.
